Kristin Lueke is a Virgo, Chicana, poet, and creative strategist hell-bent on making beautiful, useful things on earth before her time is up. In 2021, she joined hands with two of her favorite women to start Field of Practice, a hyper-competent, wildly loving creative studio that goes all in on good people, great causes, and collective care.
She’s helped shape the editorial voice and standards for Planned Parenthood; facilitate the Alliance Table, a national learning community of reproductive justice organizations; and launch all kinds of thoughtful, imaginative brands and campaigns across the arts, education, social justice, health + wellness, food, and hospitality.
Her branding work has been recognized in Fast Company, Communication Arts, and the Webby Awards, and she’s been nominated multiple times for the Pushcart Prize in Poetry and Sundress Best of the Net. Her chapbook, (in)different math, was published by Dancing Girl Press and she’s the author of The Animal Eats, a substack newsletter about poetry and trying to be human. After nearly 20 years in Chicago, she’s recently uprooted her life to settle near family in New Mexico. She holds an AB in English from Princeton University and an MA in Humanities and Creative Writing from the University of Chicago.
