Sue Murphy

Global Senior Director of Design

Sue grew up in Ireland, spending most of her time in a small town coding websites and making TV commercials featuring her cousins. After earning a degree in Visual Communications in Dublin, she received a scholarship to the Savannah College of Art & Design in the US, where she earned her Masters in Advertising. Her career has spanned design and advertising agencies across different cities, giving her a unique blend of branding and global experience. She worked in Amsterdam for Edenspiekermann, then moved to the US, working at Ogilvy, Wolff Olins, Wieden+Kennedy, and Gretel in New York, Atlanta, Portland, and San Francisco.

Currently, Sue is the Senior Global Director of Brand Design at The Coca-Cola Company, overseeing the world's most iconic and beloved brands in their 200+ brand portfolio.

Before joining Coca-Cola, her clients included Airbnb, Chobani, Google, Amazon, and Samsung. Sue and her work have been featured in Wired, FastCompany, Rolling Stone, and It’s Nice That. She speaks at various conferences, offering a humble and honest viewpoint on branding, mentors students, and judges award shows. Sue is an obsessively curious consumer of culture, branding, and design.
