CLIENT

As New Zealand’s biggest pay TV provider, they offer a wide range of sub­scrip­tion con­tent. While Free­view, their com­peti­tor, pro­vides less con­tent but as a free to air dig­i­tal ser­vice. Sky’s research revealed an oppor­tu­ni­ty exist­ed for a new ser­vice that lived between the two.


BRIEF

Cre­ate a full visu­al and ver­bal iden­ti­ty for a brand new dig­i­tal tele­vi­sion offer­ing that pro­vides val­ue for fam­i­lies, and pre­pares house­holds for the largest migra­tion of TV users in New Zealand history.


APPROACH

Igloo is a new fam­i­ly friend­ly pay-TV ser­vice from SKY New Zealand, designed for peo­ple who would not con­sid­er a full priced pay-TV pack­age. Rather than focus on the tech­nol­o­gy, we cre­at­ed a new species of curi­ous crea­tures called Igloos. Igloos are play­ful, social crea­tures that love to dress up, play and inter­act with you and their fel­low Igloos. From the lan­guage they speak (Iglish) to the scenes they love to reen­act, the brand always strives to enter­tain. The result is a mem­o­rable and humor­ous visu­al and ver­bal sys­tem, per­fect­ly suit­ed to the tar­get audience.
