Marcellina and David have both enjoyed a long and successful career in the design and advertising industry. Working together for 10 years as partners at Kampa Design in Austin, a few years together at SibleyPeteet Austin and most recently, for 12 years at McGarrah Jessee, also in Austin, Marcellina as Creative Resource Manager and David as Design Director. Now, both in their 60s and feeling their age in a sea of young creatives, they have decided to merge right, out of the creative fast lane. Having no desire to retire, both are pursuing more fulfilling and less stressful work/life situations.

Mars is Ambassador of Creative Culture at Unpacked, a consumer packaging company, and Austin Community Manager for NextTribe, a travel and social platform for women 45+ who are #AgingBoldly. She has also been able to focus more on her photography, combining her love of nature, music and meeting interesting people.

David still designs, but is really picky about what it is and who it’s for. Most of his time these days is spent designing and making products to sell.

Once again working together as a team, David and Marcellina are now KampaMade. He makes it and she makes it happen.
