CLIENT

Wieke and Cortez are a love­ly cou­ple from Indone­sia and Amer­i­ca respec­tive­ly, who were get­ting hitched in Sin­ga­pore. They specif­i­cal­ly chose to wed at a restau­rant in Sin­ga­pore that is right in the mid­dle of an island sur­round­ed by a vast for­est of trees.

BRIEF

They want­ed us to illus­trate their sto­ry in a com­i­cal­ly abstract for­mat, from the day they met in Bali until the day they decid­ed to get mar­ried. They want­ed to explore water­col­ored illus­tra­tions and nature-inspired papers, which strong­ly rep­re­sent their nature-lov­ing personalities.

APPROACH

The team was try­ing to trans­late the cou­ple’s sto­ries and nature-lov­ing per­son­al­i­ties into their wed­ding sta­tionery. The clients had specif­i­cal­ly request­ed to have four major phas­es of their sto­ries to be told in water­col­or paint­ings with­out look­ing too child­ish. We came up with an accor­dion style invite that fea­tures their water­col­ored paint­ings and the wood-tex­tured papers on both of their sta­tionery cov­ers and enve­lope for that back-to-nature look.
