CLIENT

Up Inc is an inde­pen­dent brand­ing firm based in Toron­to, Cana­da. Ser­vices include brand research, posi­tion­ing, strat­e­gy and iden­ti­ty, mar­ket­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­tions, adver­tis­ing, web­sites, etc. 


APPROACH

To pro­mote the ser­vices of this small brand­ing firm with poten­tial clients in Cana­da and the North­east US, we decid­ed to high­light the ben­e­fits of work­ing with an inde­pen­dent agency—being nim­ble, deci­sive, spe­cial­ized, skep­ti­cal, and cost-effi­cient. Quick hits of infor­ma­tion get to the heart of our com­pet­i­tive advan­tages, all of which are illus­trat­ed by read­i­ly under­stood images. The large tabloid for­mat ampli­fies the bold­ness of the mes­sage and is hard to dis­re­gard in a mail delivery. 

The production challenge was one we set for ourselves: Print in two PMS colors only. Because digital proofing uses a four-color process, it was difficult to predict how the two colors would look on press. We worked closely—and successfully—with the printer, relying on their knowledge of how their proofing system would translate into the final piece.
