In exchange for all the blood, sweat and tears that are constantly shed for the sole purpose of your online enjoyment by the hard-working team at UnderConsideration we would like to ask for an additional five minutes of your time to complete our reader survey. Plain and simple, this information helps us convince our trustful advertisers to spend part of their marketing budget advertising on our blogs which allows to spend as much time as possible working on them. The survey is answered anonymously so no names or e-mails are passed on to us and we appreciate your forwardness in completing as much information as possible. Thank you, tons. Link to survey.

ASSIGNMENTWe were assigned three random companies from the yellow pages and had to pick one of them for a complete identity overhaul. We were given 100% creative control, the most important condition was that we had to provide at least 100 thumbnail sketches for the new logo idea.

ASSIGNMENTFinal project for class: choose your own project, as long as it is more substantial than anything else you have previously done for a design class. I chose to redesign Nordstrom's visual identity and create a Paul Rand-esque case study booklet for presentation in class.

ASSIGNMENTOur task was to pick a dead, dying or defunct brand and revive it. I was free to choose any brand I wanted as long as I could make a case for its need for a makeover. Besides redesigning the logo, I made the standards guide and thought of ways to expand the brand to make it more than just surfwear.

ASSIGNMENTThe assignment as a whole had two parts:
1. To redesign a logo for a medium to large-sized company that fell into one of three categories (financial, sports, or medical).
2. Once we chose a company and redesigned their logo we would be responsible for assembling a comprehensive Identity Manual for our company.
