Sheffield Food is a new initiative in Sheffield, UK to “support quality, artisan producers and food from across Sheffield’s seven hills.” The logo has been designed by local firm DED Associates. Wendy’s Company

Wendy’s/Arby’s Group was formed in 2008, although it traces its history back many years to other holding company names. As the name implies, the group owned both Wendy’s and Arby’s. This week Arby’s was sold to Roark Capital Group and the company changed its name to Wendy’s Company. Press release here. The new logo features one of the worst typographic solutions I have seen in some time. Enjoy it larger below (or after the jump).

Harpa

A new concert hall and conference center called Harpa has opened in Reykjavík, Iceland. Their identity was designed by Íslenska auglysingastofan (“The Icelandic Advertising Agency”). The actual structure is quite beautiful so be sure to check it out. More information is available here.

Disney Vacation Club

The Disney Vacation Club is a membership program for people who purchase real estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resort and build points based on the size of the real estate interest as well as vacations taken to Disney places. A new logo, featuring DIN of all things (nothing says Disney like German transportation signage), was introduced earlier this month. The Disney Parks blog has the story.

Established in 2003, Name.com is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar, perhaps most well known for also providing the Whois Lookup service that allows you to see who is behind any given domain name. A new logo and a new hand-drawn look has taken over their website recently.

Golf Galaxy

First opened in 1997, Golf Galaxy is a chain of 15,000-square-feet golf stores throughout the U.S. and a comprehensive online store. Sometime in May they changed to a new logo.

Expo 2015

To be held in Milan, Italy Expo 2015 is the next World Fair, where countries set up extravagant pavilions to strut their stuff. This year’s them is “Feeding the Planet”. The new logo is the result of a contest. (Yes, we are still covering contests). The winning entry was by Andrea Puppa from Milan.

Established in 1999, the Georgetown Business Improvement District makes sure that the lovely Georgetown neighborhood in Washington DC stays lovely. A new logo, tagline, and website were introduced earlier this month. A story about it here.
