A col­lec­tive estab­lished in Lis­bon, Por­tu­gal. This group of archi­tects focus­es their efforts in devel­op­ing nation­al and inter­na­tion­al con­tests. Their main goal is to present inno­v­a­tive pro­pos­als based on a strong con­cep­tu­al component.

BRIEF

An iden­ti­ty that reflects the youth­ful spir­it of the col­lec­tive by set­ting a sta­t­ic and dynam­ic sym­bol reflect­ing the dif­fer­ent views of each sin­gle archi­tect that con­tributes in the group project. The work aims to have equal force on the two states—static and dynam­ic. Min­i­mal­ism and visu­al poet­ry is the main premise.

APPROACH

The iden­ti­ty reflects a house in a con­stant process of con­struc­tion and decon­struc­tion. The project seeks to reveal dif­fer­ent ways of see­ing the same prob­lem. The result is a dynam­ic and sta­t­ic iden­ti­ty. The work aims to have equal force on the two states—static and dynam­ic. On both states, an opti­cal illu­sion is one of the results of this process.

Our goals were well defined from the start: achieve an assertive identity (architecture theme) through a minimalist form and a poetic character. Other main concern was the static-dynamic duality, represented by the logo behavior. Both actions were important to adapt to several supports. All the process was well conducted, in a clear and efficient way and we are delighted with the final result of the identity designed by Francisco Elias. — André Francisco Albino Novo and Luís Sáragga Leal, Owners of AP.Art Architecture
