Miles Newlyn

Miles graduated in 1991 in Graphic Design from Saint Martins School of Art. Began designing for Emigre, David Carson, Eye magazine, and Designers Republic. Later focusing on branding after being a partner with Wolff Olins, broadening his influence beyond typography and pushing for both more challenging iconography and conceptually richer brands.

In 2000, together with four colleagues, he set up Venture3, an agency with the ambition of delivering more progressive concepts to clients and using new work methods. Later in 2001 he set up Wham with a former executive creative director of Wolff Olins to create the 3 brand.

Miles currently divides his time between working around the world helping agencies deliver better stuff, and releasing both original and custom fonts for organizations in the cultural, financial and media sectors.
