Professional work must have been implemented or approved for implementation in 2013. Concept work is not eligible.
Student work must have been completed while enrolled in school during 2013. Personal work outside the classroom is not eligible
Entries from every country are eligible.
Entries and payment must be received at UnderConsideration by Friday, March 21, 2014. Please note that this is the absolute final deadline; no extensions will be given.
All entries are to be judged anonymously. When preparing entries for physical submission there can not be any form of identification of the submitting designer or design firm printed or attached to them.
When completing the project information on the online form do not include your or your firm’s name.
The same project can be submitted for judging in different categories, i.e., a project may be more enticing to judges as a Basic Identity Application than as a standalone Logo — or it may be selected in both.
Separate entry form and fee apply for each category entered.
Entry information can only be completed online. Labels generated by our system are the only acceptable method for providing entry information. Do not send your own formatted information.
All information provided must be in English.
Entry materials that are in languages other than English must include a brief English translation.
Materials submitted will not be returned.
UnderConsideration is not responsible for materials that do not arrive. Paid fees are non-refundable.
Packages must be delivered prepaid. Non-U.S. contestants please mark your packages “Printed Matter for contest entry. No commercial value.” Any customs fees for international shipments will be charged back to the entrant.
All winning entries will be published in the annual book and a free-access website.
Winning entrants must provide digital files for reproduction (vector files for logos, high resolution photographs, etc.). UnderConsideration will not photograph any entrant material.
IMPORTANT / Professionals
In order to be included in the book and website, all winning entries in the Professional level must be accompanied by a client statement — a written confirmation from the client with their reflection on the process and execution of the project. If a client statement is not provided, the winning entry will not be published. Read more about the client statement here. Client statements can be provided upon entry through the online form but it is not obligatory at that point.
IMPORTANT / Students
In order to be included in the book and website, all winning entries in the Student level must be accompanied by a teacher statement — a written confirmation from the teacher with their reflection on the process and execution of the project. If a teacher statement is not provided, the winning entry will not be published. Read more about the teacher statement here. Teacher statements can be provided upon entry through the online form but it is not obligatory at that point.
Only winning entrants will be notified shortly after judging is complete, currently scheduled for March 28, 2014.
No cash awards or prize are given out to winners.
A printed certificate will be provided for each winning entry.
If applicable, a special award for Best of Show will be selected and up to five Judges’ Picks will be awarded.

By entering the Brand New Awards you grant UnderConsideration permission to show the work(s) in exhibitions and publish it/them in the annual book and other print, online, or digital publications.
Entrants affirm that the materials and their publications will not infringe upon any personal, property or intellectual rights (i.e., copyright, trademark, and patent) of others and that all information is accurate and hold UnderConsideration harmless from any action resulting from this entry material and information.
