Established over 100 years ago, the Toledo Zoo has over 9,000 animals representing over 800 species. A new logo was introduced recently.

Established in 1990, SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) represents and works with more than 100,000 Canadian composers, songwriters, lyricists and music publishers “to protect, preserve and promote the performing rights of music creators.” At the end of January SOCAN introduced a new logo. Established in 1932, the New Theatre is a proudly independent theater in Sydney, Australia. “We’re not slick, we’re not refined and we don’t conform,” is only one of many statements it makes, “We believe in artistic and social expression, not just escapism. When we take the stage, we’re for real.” Or “We’re driven by passion, not money.” You get the point. This past January, New Theatre introduced a new visual and verbal identity created by the Sydney office of Interbrand.
As part of China Radio International (CRI), the state-owned radio broadcast system of the People’s Republic of China, and an extension of the news site CRI Online, T&D (for Television and Digital) is a new platform established to hold all of its new media — from online broadcast to network television to mobile content. The new identity has been created by The Brand Union China.
Established in 1980 by Cablevision and originally named The Rainbow Service (later Rainbow Media Holdings) the newly independent and renamed AMC Networks is today one of the leading cable networks, owning culture darling channels like AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, and We, as well IFC Films. (Bravo was also once part of its roster, many reality shows ago). This past June, AMC Networks was spun off from Cablevision and its new identity was designed by New York-based Loyalkaspar.
Founded in 2002, TuneIn Radio is a free service that allows you to, well, tune in to more than 50,000 radio stations through your browser or smartphone. “Our new logo combines the ‘t’ and ‘i’ from our name into a shape that conveys a simple form of humanity.” Blog post announcing the new logo here.

Since 1978 Sydney’s Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras has evolved from an act of protest, into one of the city’s biggest annual parties, with an associated festival program that celebrates the diversity of the Gay and Lesbian community. The event draws tourists from around the world, and is renowned as one of the biggest, brightest, and most fabulous celebrations of all things LGBT. Every year, one of the city’s main thoroughfares, Oxford Street, is taken over by thousands of people who dress up, (or in many cases, dress down), to parade and party all night. After a few ups and downs in previous years, including a bankruptcy and a rename, the festival has revealed a new logo, designed by Sydney-based Moon.
The Arkansas Museum of Discovery (named in 1997) in Little Rock, AR dates as far back as 1927 when it was known as The Arkansas Museum of Natural History and Antiquities. The Museum of Discovery is moving to a new building and they have introduced a new logo designed by local firm Stone Ward. Logo announcement here.

Established in 1892, the Portland Art Museum is the seventh oldest museum in the United States and the oldest in the Pacific Northwest. The museum houses more than 42,000 objects that span American, Asian, Modern and Contemporary, and Native American Arts, as well as photography and silver. In September the Portland Art Museum introduced a new identity designed by Portland-based Ziba.
Founded in 1996 by the Goethe-Institut, Berlin & Beyond is an annual film festival in San Francisco, CA devoted to new cinema from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The latest festival’s identity has been designed by MetaDesign.
