The following is a request for future Word It submissions. Please read carefully:

FELLOW DESIGNERS, COULD WE PLEASE STOP USING THE ACTUAL WORD IN THE WORD IT DESIGNS?!!!?!?!?!

Its becoming extremely repetitious and boring to see submission after submission repeat the WordIt WORD in the actual design. It is supposed to be a visual expression/representation of a word or idea, not a literal translation. Its like having a picture of a cow with big FUTURA spelling out C O W all decked out with cow spots.

Add something of your own to it. Layer it. Change the meaning, make a pun. Its infinitely more interesting and utlimately BETTER DESIGN if the design subverts or supports the WORD without all this hopeless repetition. Design with Meaning 101.

Natch!

I agree with you that it would be great to see more of these sans "word it" word. Though I certainly don't think all need to be this way.

But, who am I to make the suggestion? I still haven't given my first submission!

Agreed. Though sometimes the obvious is also profound.
