Soon it will be a shiny new year. Filled with nothing … nothing more than possibility.
The simple asceticism of cleaning out last year’s closet and you are free to embrace the cold armistice of January and an open sea of calendar white. The trees are bare and the winds scrape low on single pane glass.
Could there be more? Possibly. I mean, it’s not like “the glass is half-full,” unless of course you live in the southern hemisphere, then my friend you are on your own this month.
