Honestly, I didn't read the whole thing. Basically skimmed through it. It does touch on all major aspects of typographic History, but misses a few things.

My college thesis was creating a typeface and I did a lot of research about typography, this would have been a great starting point, and served as a basis for further, deeper research. But I guess that's why it's called " A brief history"
