Finally. Someone gets it right with the your-logo-in-a-crappy-typeface exercise. Oleg Tarasov recreates popular logos — icons and graphics and all — in Comic Sans and Comic Sans style.

After 1,000 submissions the Low Times has posted the 31 finalists of a t-shirt contest that asks for “the WORST POSSIBLE design for the band of your choice” using type and clip art from Customink.com. [Ed.’s Note: in defense of Customink, they provide a great service with great customer support and very good quality. Anyway, some of the entries are hilarious.]

The Funny Bones Calendar Cards were created in the late 1800s by Dr. Louis Crusius, but not published until 1910. The full story is on the Letterology blog and has some pretty interesting facts including what may be the inspiration for the famous MAD character Alfred E. Newman.
