The final images are high-resolution scans of super 8, 16, and 35mm film strips and acetate sheets.” The short was created for The Lincoln Motor Company’s “Hello, Again” series presented that challenges filmmakers to reimagine the familiar into something fresh and new.

History Shots reproduces (and sells) vintage and antique infographics, and also creates their own, on a variety of topics ranging from politics and the military to sports and pop culture. They are intricate, detailed and gorgeous.

At right, The History of US Political Parties from 1730 to 1892, created circa 1894 by an unknown designer.
