Major League Soccer’s 20th franchise, NYCFC, is due to begin playing in 2015. The team’s expansion rights were bought last year by co-owners the New York Yankees and BPL side Manchester City for $100M. The club has created a bit of a firestorm regarding their brand identity by publishing a blank badge via social media, and asking their brand new fan base to design it. The results have been rather snarky, as you might expect.
