CLIENT

Obli­ca is an importer of exclu­sive design­er fire­places and stoves. Their pri­ma­ry audi­ence is archi­tects and inte­ri­or designers.


BRIEF

A print­ed prod­uct cat­a­log that reflects their brand posi­tion­ing and can be cus­tomised by adding or remov­ing prod­ucts to the range.


APPROACH

The pur­pose is to present a series of prod­ucts from a vari­ety of man­u­fac­tur­ers in a cohe­sive fash­ion that is reflec­tive of the Obli­ca brand and match­es the raw indus­tri­al feel of Obli­ca’s Mel­bourne, Aus­tralia, show­room. The con­cept is an item con­struct­ed of mul­ti­ple parts that appeal to the mind of an archi­tect. From a prac­ti­cal side this also allows Obli­ca to add com­po­nents (i.e., prod­ucts) as the range expands, or remove com­po­nents that would not be appro­pri­ate for a par­tic­u­lar audi­ence. The pho­tog­ra­phy was con­ceived around the prod­ucts, with each set ref­er­enc­ing the per­son­al­i­ty of the products.
