CLIENT

Worldtruck­er is an online com­mu­ni­ty for truck­drivers, a Face­book for truck­ers if you will, pow­ered by Vol­vo Trucks.


BRIEF

Our task was to pro­duce a com­mu­ni­ca­tion platform—a cook­book that flush­es out and clar­i­fies the brand to all its stake­hold­ers. It is designed to set the tone, voice, and direct the brand’s com­mu­ni­ca­tion for a long time to come.


APPROACH

Worldtruck­er is, as implied by the name, a glob­al brand and as such it needs to com­mu­ni­cate its brand’s val­ues as clear­ly and sim­ply as possible—more often than not in a non-ver­bal fash­ion. And what bet­ter way to do so than in a leather-bound vol­ume that is, lit­er­al­ly, brand­ed with a real, hon­est-to-god, bespoke brand­ing iron. You should be able to get a fair sense of the brand even if you just glance at the book from a dis­tance.

PRODUCTION LESSONS

Do not underestimate the time and effort it takes to work with a truly global brand. Oh, and real leather is expensive. And fun.
