Jacque­lyn Pous­sot is a pho­tog­ra­ph­er spe­cial­iz­ing in wed­ding and trav­el photography.

APPROACH

This busi­ness card need­ed to embody the cre­ative spir­it of Jacque­lyn’s work as a pho­tog­ra­ph­er while main­tain­ing a refined look. The die-cut fits per­fect­ly with her field of work, as well as incor­po­rat­ing the viewfind­er graph­ic from her logo. By keep­ing the design ele­ments min­i­mal and the typog­ra­phy ele­gant, this trick felt less like a gim­mick and more like the solu­tion that her iden­ti­ty had been wait­ing for.

The first iteration of the project was run on a thinner stock (110lb)—which seemed more than thick enough for a business card. Once the paper is die-cut however, the structure weakened just enough to not feel as substantial. But after going full-on with the 220lb, the card was just right!
