What could have been a mind-numbing corporate document gets a lovely treatment inside an out, with a great gold foil stamped cover, sewn binding, and charming illustrations and solid typography inside.
Project Description
With cut-throat situations and hidden pitfalls at every corner, it is no wonder why the corporate world is often described as a jungle. for a young manager who is trying to sense of it all, one needs to be equipped with the survival skills to take on the challenges that may come his or her way. This was why p&g put together a little booklet to meet this need.Our team took on the challenge of spinning an existing corporate-style p&g people management capability booklet as a start point into a step-by-step illustrated field guide for managers to master people management.

Singer sewn binding is a method of book binding that uses something like a traditional sewing machine. In fact, "Singer" refers to the classic sewing machine of the same name, that has been synonymous with sewing. From flat collated sheets one sews down the centre to create a case, with threads of your colour choice. This form of binding is ideal to give a traditional finish to a printed item. A single elegant line of sewing holds the pages together so the finished book is secure and stylish. Aesthetics aside, this binding works best up to a certain thickness but in this publication, despite going for light paper grammage, it was still a tad too thick that affected its otherwise sleek and stylish look.
