Universal Favourite raised the stakes in the self-promotion category by sending an unconventional set of fragrances that will have their clients saying “smell you later” to the design firm’s competition.
Project Description
We designed and packaged a gift for our friends, clients and suppliers. We sent them on a mini-holiday by using the power of scents!Smell is one of our most powerful senses, triggering memories and an almost instant reaction. Working with a perfumer, we created a set of evocative fragrances that would instantly teleport the senses somewhere else.
Keeping the focus on the scents, and the promise of intrigue, we chose very minimal packaging and design for our gift, with a pared down use of colour and type, and three simple suggestive words on each bottle.
Mystery was created by using a stylish, yet plain outer box, and a teasing line of copy on the flap. Naming our set “Elsewhere”, we echoed the sentiment, by crafting a logo with elements of the font simply ‘spirited away'.
