The designers were carefully aware of the powerful images being placed within the pages of this book and allowed them to be the center of attention—keeping the design elements to a minimum and letting the uncoated stock do its magic.
Project Description
Amanda Coogan is one of the most exciting contemporary visual artists working in the arena of live performance art. Working from the studio in her Dublin home, her extraordinary work is challenging, provocative and always visually stimulating. We were honoured to work in conjunction with designer and artist Oonagh Young on a book which looks at Amanda’s work/performances spanning several years.(All photographs, information and images featured in this publication are copyrighted to the Amanda Coogan archive and any relevant authors or contributors.)
Production Lesson(s)
The clear structure and discreet use of typography, the atmospheric seasonal images and the coloured pages help the reader to navigate through Amanda’s artistic performances.
