What began as a passion project for designers Bob Ewing and Drew Hill now ships over 500 button packs per month. Originally stamped, sorted, bagged, stapled, glued, and stuffed all by hand, the duo has been forced to explore less time consuming finishing techniques to keep up with demand.

Project Description
We are a monthly 1-inch button club and we exist to support youth art education. Each month members receive three 1-inch buttons in the mail designed by a different featured artist. All of our buttons come in this packaging, which we version out with a stamp on the back. As a thank you to our sponsors and members, we send out these limited edition letterpress sponsor button packs when you sign up.Our aesthetic is vintage industrial design with a heavy school house vibe, which ties into our youth art education cause.
Production Lesson(s)
It is important to think about scale when you are designing for a project such as this. This little passion project has grown faster than we could have imagined, we are currently shipping over 500 button packs to members in 42 states and 9 countries each month. While we love all the stamps, it has become very time consuming each month to stamp, sort, bag, staple, glue and stuff the packages into their envelopes. We have just recently started offset printing our envelopes, which cuts down on our production time by a at least a few hours each month. We are constantly looking for ways to expedite this whole process, while making sure we don't sacrifice our vision and quality of the product.
