Multiple theories debating the origin of Dayton’s nickname, The Gem City, exist; none of them have anything to do with an actual gemstone. Designer Andrew Althouse’s preciously cut and polished homage to his hometown, however, is quite the treasure.

I've spent my entire career working in Dayton, Ohio. I've always felt a strong connection to the places I've lived, and the Gem City has a special place in my heart. So this print is really for anyone who feels the same way.Production Lesson(s)
The printer, Réka Juhász, and I both work at Real Art in Dayton, so I was able to collaborate really closely with her on paper, print size, and ink selection. It made the whole process super easy. Work with people you trust and who take pride in their craft.
