Project Description
Since my husband and I first met as children, we wanted the design for our wedding to express whimsy and adventure. Celebratory colors and cheerful icon-like illustrations capture this spirit, showing our love of exploring the outdoors and trying new activities together. The thin, clean lines connect the whimsical illustrations and playful typography. To make this project more personal, I hand letterpressed the system using a variety of techniques and made a custom cake topper.Production Lesson(s)
Since this was my first time printing with polymer plates, I didn't realize how close I was cutting it with the registration when I set up my files. If you look at the title letters, there is hardly any trap for the overlapping blue and orange layers. I totally lucked out with making it match up, but next time I will definitely take this into account and design things a little differently.
