Project Description

Paul Goldberger's book "Building with History" examines the strategies employed by architects Foster + Partners for contemporary interventions in historic buildings. Goldberger's critical assessment is underpinned by beautifully reproduced imagery in a dedicated plate section as well as plans, sections and elevations which give a deeper insight into the symbiotic coexistence of historic substance and forward thinking solutions. The contents of the book is matched by the carefully considered design with a silver coating providing a suitably high-tech twist on the traditional cloth cover.

Production Lesson(s)

Reproducing detailed illustrations like architects' plans and sections is sometimes a daunting task, but working with a printer and a production company we trust, helped us to tackle this challenge with beautiful results.
