Stefan breaks out a great piece of lettering that starts with a giant “A” and ends with a small “ME” coiled inside it. The registration on this poster needed to be perfect so that the red, black, and varnish all hit their notes. And they did.

Commemorative poster designed on the occasion of Stefan G. Bucher speaking at the Austin Initiative of Graphic Awesomeness on April 22, 2015. Speakers are invited to design the poster in whatever way they choose as long as it says "Awesome" somewhere.Production Lesson(s)
The combination of the Classic Crest paper and the metallic ink didn't seal/dry completely so when the posters were stacked, the metallic type in the back rubbed off on the front, and since there is a lot of black ink, it was very noticeable. In the previous poster, we had also done metallic ink on the back and Cougar paper without a hitch so both us and Industry were very surprised. With 1 day to go, Industry reprinted the posters and placed a piece of newsprint in between each poster, with 30 minutes to spare before the event started. Hustle!
