Designer Rich Greco’s wedding invitation for his own wedding (held at the corner of Union and Bond streets in Brooklyn, NY), evokes a sense of non-symmetrical harmony with a blind circle/square pattern reminiscent of the Pantheon in Rome (where the couple was engaged).

Project Description
Invitations for the wedding: Union and Bond, the marriage of Gemma Burgio and Rich Greco on the 16th of November 2013 (XI.XVI.MMXIII). The wedding venue was located at the appropriate intersection of Union Street and Bond Street in Brooklyn. The underlying blind impression on the invitations is based on the floor pattern of the Pantheon in Rome, the site of the couple's engagement. The circle and square, opposites in harmony. The Purple is reminiscent of dendrobium orchids, the bride's favorite flower and the metallic base bears resemblance to the white gold rings exchanged during the ceremony. Albertus represents the traditional and Sofia the modern.Production Lesson(s)
I was concerned with alignment and if it was even necessary to have a blind impression, being that it would cost the same as a third color. This proved to be no sweat for the highly capable printer I worked with, and it made all the difference in the finished piece.
