As a full-on fan of Sons of Anarchy I had a great time geeking out over the design and layout of this poster. I worked on it through the series’ last season and finished it the day after the finale. It’s now available as a smooth poster in a deep black, vibrant red, and shiny metallic print job.

Project Description
A poster that charts all the major characters — along with key secondary ones — of the hit FX show "Sons of Anarchy". Links are made between them showing who are related by blood, who are connected by love (or sex), and who killed whom — and how.Production Lesson(s)
THE GOOD: Since silver PMS 877 is an opaque ink I decided to lay it on top of the black (instead of trapping it), this allowed me to get away with some really tiny, italic type and thin lines that all held up beautifully.THE BAD: The paper was not trimmed with the sharpest blade which caused the edges to be all fuzzy, so every time a sheet went through the press it left residue on the plates and gave the subsequent sheet a bunch of 'hickies'. We figured this out very late in the process and we did so many makereadies that we ran out of the paper we had ordered and had to bring in some extra stock and cut it properly.
