Using DEM data and photography from NASA's public files, Communication-Elevation looks to use the book format to embody the exploratory possibilities of a foreign landscape. By revealing the elevation layer by layer through the simple and empowering act of turning a page, the viewer experiences a process of mental expansion, or an increase in the perception of his or her surroundings: an overlapping quality of physical exploration and communication.Production Lesson(s)
