Project Description
The brief was to design a Christmas Card in a letterpress workshop using what is already available. The fonts library is limited but I noticed they have a small collection of type ornaments unsorted everywhere. Thus, I have idea of making a Christmas tree made up entirely of type ornaments. I thought it has a nice link to it, type ornaments and Christmas tree ornaments. It was my first hands on experience with letterpress. I try to make it as interesting as possible and would like to push the boundaries a little. Knowing conventionally letterpress is arrange row by row, I broke each row into more rows and columns.Production Lesson(s)
It requires a lot of patience for a novice like me. I love letterpress frankness and straight forwardness. It is like building a block and very hands on, literally.
