Knowing this would be the first of many wedding materials printed for Brooke and Ryan, designer Christine Wisnieski chose a printer she knew she would use for the rest of the project so they could keep her finicky PMS 1777 mixture on hand.

Project Description

Inspired by Brooke & Ryan's destination nuptials; we sent their guests a simple and cheery heads-up about the upcoming three day celebration in sunny Savannah with a luggage tag style card. Bold typography, pops of coral and teal hint to low-key, southern style weekend ahead. Each card was lovingly letterpress printed on 220# Canaletto Grana Grossa Papers (a new line of Italian papers by Neenah), tied with cotton ribbon by Angela Liguori, slipped into a kraft paper envelope and then sealed with mailing label. Once guests pencil in the dates on their calendars, they can display the colorful tag on their bags.

Production Lesson(s)

Knowing that this save-the-date would be the first item we'd print for Brooke & Ryan within a suite of wedding materials, we opted to work with one letterpress printer upfront. Mixing ink and storing it for materials we'd later print, not only saved us time but headaches. PMS 1777 presented challenges, thankful we had to get it right only one time.”
