Originally this foldable banner was going to be die-cut, but as the skyline design developed and became more complicated the decision was made to laser cut it instead. The resulting easily mailable piece is a conversation starter any recipient would be proud to display.

Project Description
NYU Stern’s Undergraduate College was looking for a unique and tangible way to generate “Stern Pride” among its students. We designed a folding banner with the added bonus of an intricate laser-cut skyline along its top edge. The banner extends to 33", but folds down, accordion style, to a compact 8½" × 5½" for easy mailing in a standard size envelope.Production Lesson(s)
We originally planned to produce this piece as a die cut, but as we made our way through the design process, the skyline became incredibly intricate. It would have been next to impossible to create a matching cutting die. We decided to go with a laser cutting process, and it worked like a charm.
