Project Description

Design Co.Mission is a channel for designers to present ideas that can positively impact the way we live. We commission creatives with design challenges on how to improve public services, present new solutions, and strengthen branding - to make what we feel is important not only matter to a select few, but to also change people's experiences for the better.

Production Lesson(s)

This was a fun project to work because we learned a lot (and failed a lot) from it. Some of the things in the kit/invitation were custom made so it was pretty hard. We had the boxes custom made from a craft store, and then had the covers laser etched. The contents of the kit were bought from different sources, but we made our own woggle. In the Philippines, the woggle for fastening the neckerchief is a carabao (water buffalo) head. We designed and carved our own but made it more modern. The neckerchief was hand silk-screened.

The handbook was digitally printed on recycled paper and the brief (map) on an A2 tracing paper.

Since this was a passion project for us, we wanted to make sure the invitations we sent to the participating design studios were high quality.
