Simple pleasures make life worth living. And riding a bike is one of ’em. This minimalist homage to the age-old pastime gives a nod to bikes of all kinds and reminds us how enjoyable simplicity can be.

Project Description
Ride your bike / Ride any bike / Ride alone / Ride with friends / Ride for fun/ Ride to work / Ride in the sun / Ride in the rain / Ride in the dark / Ride up hills and down hills / Just rideCycleLove is a celebration of the best of bike culture & so I wanted the first CycleLove poster to cover the full spectrum of bikes from BMX all the way through to Penny Farthings.
As a designer who works mostly in the digital realm, it was a real treat to return to the world of paper and ink for this project, under the watchful eye of screen-printer Dan Mather who did an expert job in turning my design into reality.
Production Lesson(s)
My only regret, and it's a small one, is that the black paper is a little oppressive for anyone not versed in the language of minimal graphic design. But I hope to produce a second, much smaller run of the print in brighter colours, to appease these people!
