Inspired by the wedding venue, Durham Ranch, Sideshow Press’s subdued wedding materials for Margaret and Patrick employ a variety of materials and textures which mimic the clean white barn and miles of white picket fences surrounding the relaxed Napa Valley event space.

Project Description
The event materials created for Margaret & Pat were inspired by the event space, Durham Ranch, and the simple, understated California vibe that the bride and groom were trying to create. In order to integrate the pieces seamlessly with the surroundings, we chose a neutral palette of shades of gray and white. We chose a type driven approach to the materials, all of which were printed on various textures that represented Durham Ranch. For this suite, we letterpressed muslin bags and 100% cotton paper, white washed wood veneer paper and hand stuffed each custom box with cotton bolls.Production Lesson(s)
To achieve the effect we were looking for, the white washing was a 3 step process. First, we brushed on a thin coat of grey stain to blonde wood veener paper. Next, we applied a watered down white paint over the top of the grey stained wood and then took to the sheets with a light grade of sand paper and spot sanded each piece. The finished piece of white washed wood was letterpressed 1 color. We were able to achieve a look/feel that was truly unique.
