Kathryn and Taylor’s wedding system is elegant and polished without feeling too serious. A blind deboss makes the materials literally less stuffy, a subtle way to lighten up a formal affair.
The theme of the wedding was antique / vintage, but not overbearingly so. The goal, then, was to allude to classic wedding design with a fresh set of eyes. I used timeless typographic cues but with modern faces. I worked with an old-school letterpress shop but with a modern, toothy stock. I used a formal color palette but with a warm grey instead of black and a blind deboss instead of a second spot color to create a less stuffy look and feel. The result was a quietly elegant and relatively affordable set of pieces that perfectly complimented the event. The system includes an invitation, RSVP card, program and thank you card.
