This invitation exudes a clear hierarchy of both information and style. The design takes cues from the elegant symmetry of art deco and is modernized by nontraditional colors and typography. Contrasting the white ceremony announcement, the reception details on black beckon guests to late night fun.
As a favor to friends I designed their wedding invitations. I basically had carte blanche with the design. The only things I had to keep in mind were that the groom is an Architect and loves Art Deco. I tried to blend in some of the time period’s attributes, mixed with some more trendy typography.
