Intricate detail and playful colors make this light capturing device look like an amusement park for sunbeams. Tom Rowe’s trademark style and use of screenprinting combine into a textured environment my eyes don’t want to leave.

This project was originally an illustration commissioned for London based publishers Nobrow for their fourth issue (day & night). The machine is what I envisaged a light capturing device may look like.

The illustration was originally printed litho but now has been re-coloured for screen printing. Wanted to play with using gradients within screen printing so decided to have the base colour as a gradient from the green to the cyan.

Ed.’s Note: Welcome to one of our two new interns, Jessica Mullen.
