Two versions of this holiday card were printed. One for the designer, and one for the printer. Designed and produced in a partnership between designer and printer this holiday promotion is a cross between a card and a booklet with many pages.
I’ve always loved quotes and verse so it was a lot of fun working the text into the shapes and images. Although it will be a long time before I ever want to kern that much type again.
I am sure many are happy to dwell on the kerning as they take in each of the images, slowly reading through the quotes. Cheerful, harmonious and rhythmic in a time when slowing down to acknowledge the details is a joy in itself.
