A class project with financial goals, led Eva Jane Hogan to create a poster featuring the letter R. With 26 students, and 26 assigned letters, they set out to create an exhibition that would raise funds for their degree show catalogue—the show was held at Pymalion in Dublin, and organized by Ken Deegan.
Having created a pattern out of Rs, Eva Jane had it printed on cotton fabric which gives this unique poster the characteristic of washability. To make sure the fabric did not fray upon washing it, a seam was sewn on the perimeter to protect it.
A nice departure from mass produced posters, the combination of materials and solutions surely stand out from the expected.
