A bou­tique speaker com­pany pro­vid­ing music afi­ciona­dos with the finest sound achiev­able in the desk­top domain using eco-friendly mate­ri­als. Speak­ers pro­vide ultra fidelity per­for­mance that will aston­ish with trans­parency, detail retrieval, and immense musi­cal­ity. Designed and man­u­fac­tured in the USA.


BRIEF

The client needed an iden­tity design, sta­tionery sys­tem, web design, e-commerce design, and pho­to­graphic art direc­tion. The chal­lenge was to cre­ate a design pro­gram that spoke to the hand-made/eco-friendly qual­ity of the prod­uct with­out ignor­ing extreme detail in the engi­neer­ing and con­struc­tion of the product.


APPROACH

The choice of type­face and the con­tainer for the mark were informed by the name of the prod­uct as well as the indus­trial design of the speakers—round. Con­cep­tu­ally it was all about sound as energy, and vibra­tion. The papers and inks are all eco-friendly and recycled.

The objec­tive was to por­tray Well Rounded Sound Inc. in a dynamic and cohe­sive man­ner with a strate­gic focus on the prod­uct itself but with­out being overly descrip­tive or ana­lyt­i­cal. Hin­ter­land han­dled the process with a deft hand, peel­ing the design ele­ments layer by layer, expos­ing us to new ideas on many lev­els. The cul­mi­na­tion of this process is clearly vis­i­ble and our com­pany is show­cased in an under­stated yet sophis­ti­cated way, high­light­ing our ethos and our prod­uct.
