The Los Angeles Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) introduces Fred Dust and Roshi Givechi of San Francisco design firm IDEO. A presentation and discussion with these innovative designers will be sponsored by the AIGA as part of their Collaboration Series, bringing designers from different mediums together to showcase the best examples of design collaboration. On July 27, 2005 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, Magnin Auditorium, the reception is at 6:30pm and the presentation will begin at 7:30pm.
Fred Dust leads IDEO’s Smart Space practice. An architect by training, Fred leads teams to create interactive spaces for clients in every industry. He helps organizations understand the importance of space for their business, and designs spaces that respond to their strategic vision.
Roshi Givechi explors and defines how people interact with objects, space, services and each other. Her clients include AT&T Wireless, the Gap, NASA and United Media (Dilbert’s Ultimate Dream Cubicle for Scott Adams).
IDEO employs 350 people worldwide and has five offices in the US, as well as offices in London, Munich and Tokyo. IDEO has won more design awards than any other firm of its kind. They have contributed to the development of many well-known innovations, including the first mouse for Apple and the world’s first laptop computer.
