Each 48-page book has been hand-assembled by binding french-folded pages with a pink shoelace. Housed in a super sturdy kraft box is the book sitting on top of a handful of crinkle purple paper and is accompanied by three individually-wrapped gumballs in the signature Kimmy colors of pink, yellow, and purple. The box is secured with a custom stamp that is sure to entertain postal workers.
There is a lot to love about Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: its premise, its cast of supporting characters and surprising cameos, its deeply New York-y references, and, above all, its titular character, Kimmy Schmidt. While Kimmy, Titus, Lillian, Jacqueline, Xanthippe, Dong, and Richard Wayne Gary Wayne all deliver an endless stream of hilarious dialogue and one-liners, it was Kimmy’s reactions that stood out as the most comically stellar moments in the series.
Whether scared, excited, upset, or confused, Kimmy was never lacking in outdated references, mismatched concepts, or obliviousness to modern-day objects or topics and, ever the innocent 15-year-old, she never cursed, no matter the fudging odds. As delivered by Ellie Kemper, Kimmy’s reactions are genuinely filled with emotion and infectiously explosive.
This compilation is not of Kimmy’s best one-liners or pieces of dialogue but of her funniest, quirkiest, most heartfelt reactions made infinitely more memorable by her choice of words, construction of sentences, and outdated innocence.
Each reaction is accompanied by the episode number and context in which it happened, its time stamp, and the type of emotion that fueled it.
If you’ve watched the first season enough times you will be able to play back the reactions in your head; if not, stop what you are doing and pull it up on Netflix because it’s Kimmytime!
