CLIENT

OzHar­vest is an Aus­tralian, non-denom­i­na­tion­al char­i­ty that res­cues and redis­trib­utes excess food— which would oth­er­wise be discarded—to the homeless.


BRIEF

Frost* and Droga5 col­lab­o­rat­ed to cre­ate a brand refresh for the char­i­ty. A key com­po­nent of the brand refresh was the roll out of the first major appli­ca­tion of the new brand­ing, with the cre­ation of a visu­al­ly impact­ful annu­al report.


APPROACH

In the report data is pre­sent­ed as info­graph­ics with bold pull out quotes and, in an echo of the new iden­ti­ty, text is shown as typo­graph­ic motifs. In an effort to keep the project as eco­nom­i­cal as pos­si­ble, we endeav­ored to min­i­mize print cost sub­stan­tial­ly by design­ing the doc­u­ment using only black and express­ing the brand col­ors through the use of a bright yel­low paper stock. The result is flu­id com­bi­na­tion of both func­tion­al­i­ty and fun.

PRODUCTION LESSONS

Trying to get the right amount of ink to give enough impact on thin paper without it become overpowering on the other side of the paper was a challenge.
