Designer Lionel Scholtes could not resist the temptation to design his daughter’s birth announcements and have them letterpress printed, and the added cost over standard printing was well worth it. These announcements feature Brownstone’s soft monoline strokes and decorative swash characters with bold colors to achieve a nontraditional, ornamental but unfussy girly feeling that the designer and printer were going for.

Project Description
Belgian designer Lionel Scholtes not only creates wonderful designs, but also knows how perfectly to adapt design to letterpress printing technology. Each time we print Lionel's artworks he manages to surprise us with his design exclusivity. We are really happy to print Lionel's uncluttered designs, in which the main focus is marked on composition and completeness of details.Here is a perfect opportunity to see and admire one of Lionel's works—his daughter Abigail's birth announcement cards, that were letterpress printed by hand on thick 100% cotton paper. This card looks very girlish with its warm red color painted edge too.
