I chose to rebrand a Melbourne bar/music venue, Ding Dong lounge. The current identity doesn’t reflect a lot of the music that gets played in the venue (indie and alternative) so I approached the redesign with music and sound in mind. I knew early on that I wanted the brand to be more than just the logo and to be about the club and the imagery inside itself. I wanted the logotype to be something that wouldn’t need to be updated in another year but the imagery that accompanies it would need to change frequently to match the changes in music trends. The imagery I chose for the application of the interior and wine labels was meant to be something that was particularly trendy, and would change after a year and replace with something else.
