CLIENT

As New Zealand’s biggest pay TV provider, they offer a wide range of sub­scrip­tion con­tent. While Free­view, their com­peti­tor, pro­vides less con­tent but as a free to air dig­i­tal ser­vice. Sky’s research revealed an oppor­tu­ni­ty exist­ed for a new ser­vice that lived between the two.


BRIEF

Cre­ate a com­pelling logo for a brand new dig­i­tal tele­vi­sion ser­vice that pro­vides val­ue for fam­i­lies, and pre­pares house­holds for the largest migra­tion of TV users in New Zealand history.


APPROACH

Igloo is a new fam­i­ly friend­ly pay-TV ser­vice from SKY New Zealand, designed for peo­ple who would not con­sid­er a full priced pay-TV pack­age. Instead of just cre­at­ing a new logo, we cre­at­ed a series of curi­ous crea­tures called Igloo, who love to enter­tain! The var­i­ous logos can be per­son­al­ized to fit the chan­nel or con­tent they are supporting—from a New Zealand All Black­’s game to a Kiss con­cert. The result is a mem­o­rable and humor­ous visu­al and ver­bal motif, per­fect­ly suit­ed to the tar­get audience.
